On Saturday 18 October 2003 Purley Players held their 10th Anniversary celebration at St Mary's Church Hall. As well as current members those who had been in earlier shows were invited.

Pangbourne Scarecrow Trail - October 12th to 26th 2007
Pangbourne hosted a Scarecrow Trail which had 40 scarecrows sited in various positions around the village. Each scarecrow had a theme and if you could guess who all the scarecrows were a you were inline for a good prize. .
Purley Players entered a scarecrow based on their February 2008 pantomime, Dick Whittington. During the performances of the pantomime 'Dick' stood next to the audience. After the pantomime finished 'Dick' went to a permanent home at the Purley Learning Through Play group to work to protect their garden.
